Use plain language
Say that a link is an affiliate link or that a qualifying purchase may earn a commission. Avoid relying on abbreviations that viewers may not recognize. Follow the current rules that apply to your location, platform, and affiliate program.
Disclose in the content itself
For a video recommendation, consider an on-screen statement and a clear spoken or caption disclosure where appropriate. Put disclosure language near the relevant links as well. A storefront-wide notice is useful context but should not replace a disclosure attached to a specific promotion when one is required.
Keep the statement accurate
Explain whether the creator, Tapixy, or both may receive a commission. Do not suggest that a product is independently endorsed if compensation influenced the recommendation. When in doubt, consult official regulator and program guidance.
Repeat the disclosure where people decide
Viewers may skip the start of a video or arrive at your storefront directly. Put a disclosure in the video, in the caption, and on the page where the links live. Repeating it in each place is not redundant; it reaches the people who missed the others.
Keep a record
If a brand sent you a product, paid you, or gave you a code, note it alongside the post. A simple record makes it easy to disclose consistently and to answer questions later. When rules or platform tools change, review your standard wording and update it everywhere at once.
Quick checklist
- Use plain words such as 'affiliate link' or 'I earn a commission'.
- Disclose in the video, in the caption, and next to the links.
- Say who earns the commission.
- Keep a note of gifted products and paid partnerships.
