Write Product Titles for Search and AI Assistants

· · 1 min read

People increasingly find products through search engines and AI assistants that read web pages and summarize them. Those systems can only describe your storefront accurately if your titles and descriptions say what the products actually are.

Describe the item, not the vibe

A title such as 'Wide-leg linen trousers, oat' says far more than 'Obsessed!!' or 'Item 2.' Include the product type, one or two distinguishing details, and a color or material when you can verify it. Keep brand names accurate and avoid claims you cannot support.

Write a bio that answers questions

Your storefront bio is often the summary a search result or assistant shows. Say who you are, what you recommend, and for whom, in one or two sentences. Specific bios like 'Capsule wardrobe ideas for petite frames' are easier to match to a real question than generic slogans.

Keep pages consistent and current

Search engines and assistants revisit pages over time. Remove products that no longer exist, update titles when a listing changes, and keep look titles aligned with the video. Consistency across your videos, bio, and storefront makes it more likely that your page is described correctly.
